Canyon Resources (ASX:CAY) appointed Peter Secker as its chief executive, effective July 1, according to a Wednesday Australian bourse filing.

Secker will succeed its current CEO Jean Sebastien Boutet, who will transition into a new role as chief commercial and corporate development officer, the filing said.

Secker, most recently the CEO of Bacanora Lithium, will work with Canyon in an advisory role in the interim, primarily focused on completing the definitive feasibility study, per the filing.
