0909 ET - To turn around Kate Spade, its parent company Tapestry plans to reduce choices for consumers. The number of handbag styles will decline 15% by the fall, Tapestry's chief executive Joanne Crevoiserat says. This will help the big ideas in leather goods cut through the clutter, she says. Kate Spade also plans to sharpen designs and elevate its handbag styles in an attempt to reverse persistent sales declines. Sales at the brand fell 10% in the most recent quarter.
