Playmates Toys (HKG:0869) expects a profit of HK$178 million for 2024, lower than HK$261 million logged for 2023, a Thursday bourse filing said.

The toy company attributed the expected decrease to lower shipment volume for its Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles toy line, an increase in discounts offered by retailers, and an increase in marketing and administrative expenses.
