1341 GMT - The Bank of England's unanimous decision to cut interest rates on Thursday comes amid rising pressure to shore up the economy, Validus Risk Management analyst Pierre Roke says in a note. The BOE cut rates by 25 basis points to 4.5% although two officials voted in favor of a larger half-point cut. Recent data show zero economic growth. However, inflation is expected to remain above target through 2025. This indicates that the U.K. is under threat of stagflation, or weak growth combined with high inflation, Roke says.
