MW Coca-Cola's stock jumps after a big sales beat, as case volume returns to growth

Shares of Coca-Cola Co. $(KO)$ climbed 4.2% toward a 3 1/2-month high in premarket trading Tuesday, after the beverage giant beat fourth-quarter profit and revenue expectations, as unit case volume returned to growth and prices continued to rise.

Adjusted earnings per share grew 12% from a year ago to 55 cents, above the FactSet consensus of 52 cents, while net revenue increased 6% to $11.5 billion to beat expectations of $10.68 billion. The revenue beat was by the widest margin since mid-2021.

Unit case volume was up 2%, after falling 1% in the previous quarter to snap a six-quarter streak of growth. Price and mix rose 9%, to mark the 11th-straight quarter of increases of at least 9%.
