Patriot Battery Metals began its winter drilling program at the Shaakichiuwaanaan lithium project in Canada, targeting a minimum of 15,000 meters from January to April, according to a Monday Australian bourse filing.
Up to four drill rigs are expected to support the program, which seeks to test a highly prospective pegmatite corridor and extend a high-grade pegmatite zone.
The firm added that it is on track to publish a feasibility study and maiden ore reserve estimate in the third quarter of the year.
It engaged Forage Construction Muskw to carry out the diamond drilling services.
Shares of the mining firm slid 2% in recent trade.
