Feb 11 - (The Insurer) - Bermuda-based reinsurance and capital advisory firm MultiStrat has appointed Maryam Abdullah as head of pricing.
Abdullah, who has worked with MultiStrat as a consultant since 2022, now joins the company full-time to support its growth plans for 2025.
A fully qualified actuary (FIA) with more than 20 years of actuarial experience, Abdullah also has over a decade of experience as a broker in the capital markets and re/insurance sectors. She specialises in product development for structured and capital relief transactions.
Before joining MultiStrat, she worked as a consultant at Greenlight Re, Renaissance Re, and the African Risk Capacity, and previously served as head of capital at Capsicum Re.
“Her extensive experience across insurance, reinsurance, and capital markets will further strengthen our underwriting expertise and help the company forge ahead with its ambitious growth strategy,” said MultiStrat CEO Bob Forness.
In September 2024, MultiStrat announced that it had named Forness group CEO, promoted Kier James to CUO, and handed Patrick Grealy an expanded role leading portfolio and performance management.
