Amkor Technology (AMKR) reported Q4 earnings late Monday of $0.43 per diluted share, down from $0.48 a year earlier.
Analysts surveyed by FactSet expected $0.37.
Net sales for the quarter ended Dec. 31 were $1.63 billion, down from $1.75 billion a year earlier.
Analysts polled by FactSet expected $1.66 billion.
For Q1, the company said it expects earnings of $0.01 to $0.17 per share on net sales of $1.23 billion to $1.33 billion. Analysts polled by FactSet expect $0.28 and $1.42 billion, respectively.
The company's shares dropped nearly 8% in recent after-hours activity.
