ActivePort Group (ASX:ATV) reported that MWP Partners acquired a substantial stake of 17.7% in the firm on Wednesday, according to a Friday Australian bourse filing.

MWP Partners and funds managed by it acquired 121.2 million shares in the firm.

MWP Partners paid a consideration of AU$1.3 million to acquire 83.2 million shares in the firm, while its associates paid AU$617,120 to acquire 38 million shares.

ActivePort shares fell 6% on market close on Friday.
