Barclays (BCS) said in its 2024 annual report that the board has agreed to extend Chairman Nigel Higgins' term to another three years.
The British lender increased Higgins' 2025 salary by 8% to 925,000 British pounds ($1.2 million), effective Jan. 1, it added.
Barclays appointed Higgins as board chairman in 2019.
Barclays stock was down 5% in recent Thursday premarket activity.
