The Commissioner of Patent on Dec. 12, 2024, granted an Australian patent to Quantum Graphite's (ASX:QGL) joint venture partner, Sunlands Energy, for its thermal battery technology, according to a Thursday filing with the Australian bourse.

The technology is now patented in the US, South Africa, and Australia. A European patent application remains pending, the filing said.
