1606 ET - Many people who were considering putting houses on the market are returning to "wait-and-see mode," Marcus & Millichap CEO Hessam Nadji told analysts. Tariff uncertainty and stubbornly high interest rates are putting everyone on guard, and the real estate services provider said its team is struggling to bring together buyers, sellers and lenders to close deals. The 10-year Treasury yield has moved by at least 50 basis points 15 times since March 2022, and each move affects real estate pricing and investor sentiment, Nadji said. As a result, there are more transactions falling out of contract. (katherine.hamilton@wsj.com)
