1002 ET - TreeHouse Foods says the industry is going through dramatic changes and uncertainty, thanks to the rise of weight-loss drugs, inflation and more. CEO Steve Oakland says the store-brand food company makes goods that have seen annual sales growth of 3% to 5% by volume in the past decade, versus today's low- to no-growth environment. Oakland says the impact of weight-loss drugs will become clearer over the next year or two and that now is a good time for TreeHouse to rethink how it runs its business. "We can't have a more uncertain environment today with tariffs and all the things that are going on around us," Oakland says. He adds that the company is "making strategic decisions on margin management on new and existing business with a goal of prioritizing gross profit dollars." TreeHouse surges 18%.
