1236 GMT - Europe's top stock indexes turn lower in early afternoon trade on tariff concerns after President Trump floated tariffs on automobiles, semiconductors and pharmaceutical products, and the latest batch of earnings reports. The Stoxx Europe 600 is down 0.5%, while Germany's DAX sheds 0.8%. Both indexes have closed at record highs for the past two sessions. Elsewhere, the U.K.'s FTSE 100, France's CAC 40, Italy's FTSE MIB, Spain's Ibex 35 and Switzerland's SMI are all down. Dutch medical-equipment company Philips, down 11%, and commodities giant Glencore, down 6.9%, are among the biggest decliners in the Stoxx Europe 600 after their earnings disappointed investors. French cable maker Nexans tops the Stoxx Europe 600 gainers, up 9.1%, after its results beat forecasts. (adria.calatayud@wsj.com)
