CVR Energy (CVI) reported late Tuesday its Q4 swung to an adjusted loss of $0.13 per share from earnings of $0.65 a year earlier.

Analysts polled by FactSet expected a loss of $0.63.

Net sales for the quarter ended Dec. 31 were $1.95 billion, down from $2.20 billion a year earlier.

Analysts polled by Capital IQ expected $1.85 billion.

Shares of the company were up 3% in recent after-hours activity.
