Trimble forecasts upbeat quarterly revenue on demand for software products

Feb 19 (Reuters) - Trimble TRMB.O forecast first-quarter revenue above Wall Street estimates on Wednesday, banking on strong demand for its hardware and software solutions.

The navigation products maker reported a 43% rise in revenue in the fourth quarter for its AECO (Architects, Engineers, Construction and Owners) segment, which primarily provides software solutions to the construction industry.

The company has incorporated AI services like SketchUp Diffusion to enhance design workflows by generating photorealistic images from simple models using text prompts, especially for architects and designers.

Trimble is known for their development of scanners, electronic logging devices for truck drivers, laser rangefinder and software processing tools, which help improve efficiency and productivity across sectors like geospatial, agriculture to transportation.

The company expects first-quarter revenue to be between $794 million and $824 million, the mid-point of which was above analysts' average estimate of $804.4 million, according to data compiled by LSEG.

Trimble's fourth-quarter revenue rose 5.5% to $983.4 million, beating estimates of $944.4 million.

The company posted adjusted earnings per share of 89 cents, a cent ahead of analysts' estimates.

Its revenue from subscription and services unit grew 31% in the reported quarter.

For the full-year 2025, Trimble expects to report revenue between $3.37 billion and $3.47 billion, compared with estimates of $3.43 billion.

Trimble said that the forecast reflects the closing of the mobility divestiture earlier this month.
