BHP (ASX:BHP) reported Tuesday that its earnings per diluted share in the fiscal first half rose to $0.869 from $0.183 per diluted share a year earlier.

Revenue for the six months to Dec. 31, 2024, was $25.18 billion, down 8% from $27.23 billion in the same period a year earlier. Analysts surveyed by FactSet expected $25.01 billion.
The mining firm expects fiscal 2025 copper production to be more than 1.8 million to 2 million tonnes per annum.
The board declared an interim dividend of $0.50 per share, down from the $1.44 in the previous reported period, payable on March 27 to shareholders on record as of March 7.
