TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - President Prabowo Subianto stated that the presence of the sixth President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono (SBY) and the seventh President Jokowi at the regional heads' retreat shows the continuity of national leadership.

This statement was made by Prabowo while hosting a dinner for regional heads and cadets in the Dining Room of Husein within the Military Academy complex in Magelang, Central Java, on Thursday, February 27, 2025.

"Two presidents who served before me are here. Two presidents with 20 years of experience in leading this nation. And of course, we are grateful for all the dedication of the presidents before my tenure," said Prabowo in an official statement on Thursday.

According to him, both former leaders possess valuable experience in guiding the nation and the state and in preventing national fragmentation.

"Pak SBY, Pak Jokowi, for 20 years, you have controlled the nation and the state, kept the nation from disintegration, and kept the nation from being disturbed by other nations," said PS.

Prabowo stressed the importance of unity and cooperation among all regional heads in fulfilling their duty to serve the people. The Head of State reminded them that, despite their diverse backgrounds, all regional leaders must recognize that they are part of a single, unified nation.

Prabowo had earlier led the Sunset Parade Ceremony at the Pancasila Field of the Magelang Military Academy complex on Thursday, February 27, 2025. SBY and Jokowi were also present at this event.

Prabowo is scheduled to provide leadership orientation guidance to regional heads from across Indonesia on Friday, February 28, 2025.

The previous day, Vice President Gibran Rakabuming Raka attended the retreat, arriving at the complex at 9:30 AM local time. Journalists were restricted from entering the retreat area during Gibran's presentation.
