Service Stream (ASX:SSM) secured a long-term agreement worth about AU$1.9 billion over the initial five-year term with National Broadband Network, according to a Friday Australian bourse filing.

The new field module will consolidate and replace the existing two unified field operations agreements that have been held by the company since 2021.

Under the field module, the company will provide services involving network and service assurance, and service activation, among other responsibilities, the filing added.

The company has been allocated a comparable service coverage area to the existing Unify agreements and will be exclusively responsible for performing works across Victoria, South Australia, Western Australia, and the Northern Territory.

The agreement includes a two-plus-one-year extension option, at NBN's election, according to the filing.

Company shares rose 3% in recent Friday trade, earlier hitting their highest since January 2021.
