Moelis (MC) said Thursday it has promoted Christopher Callesano as chief financial officer to succeed Joseph Simon, effective March 31.

The company said Callesano is Moelis' managing director, principal accounting officer and corporate controller.

Simon, who is leaving Moelis to assume the CFO role at Wachtell, Lipton, Rosen & Katz, will assist in the transition for the next three months, Moelis said.
