Hong Kong's GDP increased 2.4% in the last quarter of 2024, confirming a previous forecast, according to data from the city's census and statistics department released Wednesday.
The increase is faster compared with the 1.9% rise recorded in the year-ago period, the filing said.
After seasonal adjustments, GDP rose 0.8% during the quarter.
Private consumption expenditure fell 0.2% in the three months through December 2024,j while government consumption expenditure jumped 2% during the three months.
For the whole of 2024, GDP grew 2.5% year over year, the department said.
