Meridian Energy (NZE:MEL, ASX:MEZ) reported Wednesday a loss per diluted share in the fiscal first half of NZ$0.047, compared with earnings of NZ$0.074 per diluted share a year earlier.
Analysts polled by Visible Alpha were expecting an EPS of NZ$0.01.
Total revenue for the six months ended Dec. 31, 2024, was NZ$2.26 billion, up from NZ$2.11 billion in the same period a year earlier. Analysts surveyed by Visible Alpha expected NZ$2.33 billion.
The board declared an interim dividend of NZ$$0.0615 per share, unchanged from the payout in the previously reported period, payable on March 25 to shareholders on record as of March 7.
