McPherson's (ASX:MCP) said Ari Mervis will temporarily step down as Chair of the company, effective March 10, as he expects workload outside the company to increase considerably over the next 12 months, according to a Friday Australian bourse filing.

Alison Cook has been appointed as interim Chair, effective March 10 while Meris will remain on board as non-executive director, the filing added.
