Nvidia's Spectrum-X Ethernet networking platform will be integrated into the very powerful, robust networking systems of Cisco in order to increase speed and simplify AI workloads for the companies. The partnership hopes to achieve this by combining Nvidia Silicon One with Nvidia SuperNICs with Cisco's operating system software, to deliver a unified infrastructure that offers improved efficiency and scale to enterprise clients.
Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang stated, "Together with Cisco's enterprise platforms and global reach, we can help companies worldwide build state-of-the-art NVIDIA infrastructure as they race to transform with AI." Cisco plans to develop data center switches featuring Nvidia Spectrum-X technology, which will facilitate standardization across front-end and back-end networks. This collaboration is designed to provide customers with flexible deployment options while simplifying network management for both enterprise and cloud environments.
