Qantas CEO Vanessa Hudson says Jetstar’s role is “so important” in enabling thousands of Australians to access affordable flying options.
Qantas paid its first dividend to shareholders in more than five years.
The underlying profit before tax is just under $1.4 billion.
Revenue was up 9 per cent and the interim dividend is 16.5 cents a share with a special dividend of 9.9 cents.
