ChampionX (CHX) said Tuesday that its Aerial Optical Gas Imaging platform has been approved by the Environmental Protection Agency for the Methane Alternative Test Method.

The approval will allow operators to integrate the platform into their emissions monitoring programs to detect and locate escaping methane emissions, the company said.
