Pharming Group (PHAR) said Tuesday that shareholders have approved the appointment of Fabrice Chouraqui as executive director and chief executive officer for a four-year term.

Chouraqui succeeds Sijmen de Vries with immediate effect as a result of the approval, the company said.

Pharming said de Vries will remain an advisor to the CEO until yearend to ensure a smooth transition.
