Alice Queen (ASX:AQX) intersected high-grade epithermal gold mineralization in its maiden drill hole at its Viani project in Fiji, the firm said in a Friday filing with the ASX.

It intersected several zones of gold mineralization from 103.5 meters to 166.88 meters with best results of 1.25 meters at 2.24 grams per tonne grade of gold and 12.48 g/t silver from 107.9 meters, as well as 1.9 meters at 8.52 g/t gold and 13.1 g/t silver from 144.2 meters.

A second drill hole has been completed and the firm will design the next phase of the program to test for strike extensions to the mineralization once it receives assays from the drill holes.
