Brown-Forman (BF.A, BF.B) reported fiscal Q3 earnings Wednesday of $0.57 per diluted share, down from $0.60 a year earlier.
Four analysts polled by FactSet expected $0.44.
Net sales for the fiscal quarter ended Jan. 31 were $1.04 billion, down from $1.07 billion a year earlier.
Analysts surveyed by FactSet expected $1.08 billion.
The company said it continues to expect 2025 organic net sales and organic operating income to each grow between 2% and 4%.
Shares of Brown-Forman were up about 3% in recent premarket activity.
