March 4 (Reuters) - Liz Martin, chief operating officer of engineering at Goldman Sachs GS.N global banking and markets business, is set to leave the Wall Street giant after 25 years at the firm, according to an internal memo seen by Reuters on Tuesday.

She joined the investment bank in 2000 as an analyst and became a managing director in 2009. Throughout her time at Goldman Sachs, Martin held leadership roles across the world, mainly within the bank's markets business.

Martin, who became a partner at Goldman Sachs in 2016, is talking to hedge funds, asset managers and fintechs about her next role, according to a person familiar with the matter.

She was the global head of electronic trading and European equities execution at Goldman Sachs until 2022.
