Airbus said it won orders for its new H140 helicopter model from U.S. customers Air Methods and Metro Aviation.

The European aircraft maker said late Tuesday that Air Methods--the largest civil operator of Airbus helicopters worldwide--expanded its fleet with an agreement that includes the acquisition of H140 helicopters, as well as 10 units of its H125 model and 11 H135 helicopters, to support air-medical missions.

Moreover, Metro Aviation signed a deal for up to 36 H140 helicopters, with an order for 12 helicopters and options for 24 additional units, Airbus said.

Airbus didn't disclose financial details for the orders.

Earlier on Tuesday, Airbus said Germany's ADAC Luftrettung and Austria's OAMTC Flugrettung, two helicopter emergency medical services operators, signed an agreement to purchase ten H140 helicopters, with each operator receiving five.
