Community Financial System has hired Marya Burgio Wlos as the bank holding company's next executive vice president and chief financial officer, effective March 31.
Community Financial on Tuesday said Wlos joins the DeWitt, N.Y., company from M&T Bank, where she has served as managing director and COO investment bank since January 2021.
Community Financial said Joseph Sutaris, who last year announced plans to retire as chief financial officer, will remain with the company through July 1 to assist with the transition.
The company said Wlos, 47 years old, will receive an annual base salary of $500,000.
