Asian Battery Metals (ASX:AZ9) started the third phase of its drilling program at the Oval discovery, within the Yambat project in Mongolia, following the 2024 exploration campaign that identified a "significant" copper-nickel sulfide system, according to a Wednesday filing with the Australian bourse.
The program, which will last until mid-May, will involve diamond drilling and downhole electromagnetic surveys on all new drill holes, the filing said.
Assay results are anticipated by May, according to the filing.
