1039 ET - Cracker Barrel has space to keep raising prices without turning customers away from the brand, Benchmark analyst Todd Brooks says in a research note. The chain is still offering a better value relative to most of its casual-dining and family-dining competitors, he says. Management shared data showing an average check at Cracker Barrel ran $15 last quarter, compared with $28 for casual-dining peers and $18 for family-dining rivals, the analyst says. He maintains a hold rating on the stock, given that Cracker Barrel is still in the early steps of its three-year turnaround. Shares rise 7%. (dean.seal@wsj.com)
