HealthStream is downsizing its office footprint to move permanently to a hybrid work model.
The software provider, which offers workforce services for healthcare companies, said Thursday it is subleasing part of its Nashville headquarters and ending a lease for its San Diego office.
It plans to sublease two floors and retain one floor at its building in Nashville. That sublease is expected to begin in the second quarter of this year and end in the fourth quarter of 2031. HealthStream expects to use most of the cost savings from the sublease for long-term growth initiatives, but doesn't anticipate it will affect its guidance for 2025.
HealthStream plans to not renew its office lease in San Diego, which is set to expire in June 2026.
The majority of the company's workforce has worked as part of a hybrid format since March 2020, it said.
"Our results over the last five years have shown our hybrid work approach and high-performance culture are the right fit for HealthStream," Chief Executive Robert Frist said.
