Altech Batteries (ASX:ATC) received environmental and construction approval for its 120-megawatt-hour Cerenergy GridPack production facility in Germany, according to a Monday filing with the Australian bourse.

The permit allows the company's German subsidiary, Altech Batteries, to start site clearing and construction, pending successful project funding, the filing said.

Shares fell past 2% in morning trade Monday.
