0709 GMT - U.S. Treasury yields edge lower in early European hours, though moves are very muted, as investors await a bond auction Tuesday and the Federal Reserve's meeting on Wednesday. The two-year Treasury yield falls 1.5 bps to last trade at 4.040%, while the 10-year declines 0.6 bp to 4.300%, Tradeweb data show. Markets widely bet the Fed to pause and potentially reiterate that the central bank is in no hurry to cut interest rates. The U.S. Treasury will conduct the week's only auction for nominal Treaurys on Tuesday, offering $13 billion in 20-year bonds. On Thursday, the Treasury will still auction $18 billion in 10-year TIPS, or inflation-protected securities. (emese.bartha@wsj.com)
