0708 GMT - Nordic markets may open slightly higher with IG calling the OMXS30 up 0.3% at around 2637. Uncertainty about tariffs and other economic policies has pressured U.S. stock markets, but over the past week the S&P 500 has stabilized after falling by just under 10% since mid-February, SEB analysts say in a note. Concerns about higher inflation and lower growth will continue, but the market is also hoping for support from interest rate cuts from the Fed, SEB adds. Reports that President Trump's proposed tariffs will be more targeted and balanced are contributing to stock market futures in the U.S. and Europe pointing upwards this morning, SEB says. Canada's newly appointed Prime Minister, Mark Carney, has called new elections for April 28. OMXS30 closed at 2629.36, OMXN40 at 2519.91 and OBX at 1458.88. (dominic.chopping@wsj.com)
