Far East Gold to Conduct Drilling for Resource Expansion at Indonesia Project; Shares Down 3%

Far East Gold (ASX:FEG) is set to conduct a 3,670-meter, 32-hole diamond drill program at the Idenburg project in Indonesia, aiming to expand on the inferred gold resource, according to a Thursday filing with the Australian bourse.

The company plans to complete a 20-hole program to infill and expand resources at the Sua, Bermol, and Mafi prospects, testing defined zones along strike and to depth, providing composite material for advanced metallurgical test work, the filing said.

Additionally, the company will conduct a 12-hole program at the Kwaplu prospect, which hosts a large gold-in-soil geochemical anomaly that has not yet been tested, per the filing.

Shares were down 3% in afternoon trade Thursday.
