Colony Bankcorp Acquires Insurer Ellerbee Agency

Colony Bankcorp acquired insurer Ellerbee Agency to expand its insurance division.

Ellerbee, an Allstate-appointed consumer property and casualty insurer, will become part of Colony Insurance and expand the division's footprint in Georgia, the Fitzgerald, Ga., bank said Tuesday.

Ellerbee is led by Sean Ellerbee, who will join Colony Insurance's leadership team to focus on sales and coaching. Eleven agents are also set to join Colony.
