1136 GMT - The North Atlantic Treaty Organization won't change its official definition of defense spending to accommodate requests by some members to include other uses for the money, the alliance's Secretary-General Mark Rutte says. Pedro Sanchez, prime minister of Spain--one of the lowest NATO Defense spenders proportionally--proposed that the concept of defense spending be expanded to also cover funding for cyber security, border control and other security-related items. But Rutte tells a press conference in Brussels: "Within NATO we have a clear definition, understanding of what defense spending is and is not. We are not going to change that definition."
