Lululemon Athletica thought it was safe from President Trump's tariffs. That wasn't the case.
The Vancouver-based company doesn't make its yoga pants and running shorts in Canada, which previously gave it a competitive advantage over other Canadian companies that do manufacture domestically, such as Canada Goose.
The company, however, produces nearly 90% of its athletic gear in Vietnam, Cambodia, Sri Lanka, Indonesia and Bangladesh.
Shares fall 10% in overnight trading after President Trump announced reciprocal tariffs of 46% on Vietnam, 49% on Cambodia, 44% on Sri Lanka, 32% on Indonesia and 37% on Bangladesh.
