Nanoveu (ASX:NVU) subsidiary Embedded AI Systems (EMASS) partnered with the Center of Nanoelectronics and Devices in Egypt to create advanced custom integrated circuits using EMASS's ultra-low energy edge artificial intelligence technology, according to a Thursday filing with the Australian bourse.
Under the collaboration, EMASS will develop application-specific integrated circuits through Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Company's 16-nanometer fin field-effect transistor process, which uses a 3D transistor architecture, the filing said.
Additionally, Yehia Ismail, Director of the Center of Nanoelectronics and Devices, was named strategic advisor to EMASS as part of the deal, per the filing.
Nanoveu shares were down 6% in afternoon trade Thursday.
