Rimfire Pacific Mining (ASX:RIM) said its ongoing air core drilling program underway at its Currajong scandium prospect in New South Wales intersected a series of weathered rock types, including prospective ultramafic pyroxenite, according to a Wednesday Australian bourse filing.
The company has drilled 51 air-core holes to date for a total depth of 1,616 meters. It dispatched 520 samples for laboratory analysis and the first assays are expected in late April.
Rimfire Pacific Mining's shares jumped almost 9% in recent trading on Wednesday.
