NIO (HKG:9866, SGX:NIO) has completed the placement of 136.8 million class A ordinary shares at HK$29.46 apiece to raise HK$4.03 billion, a Monday filing with the Hong Kong bourse said.

The shares have been sold to non-US persons in offshore transactions.

The automaker first announced its plans regarding the placement in March.
