The Italian luxury firm agreed to buy the Versace brand, known for its loud and bold designs, from U.S. group Capri Holdings in a $1.4 billion deal. Versace's loud aesthetics contrast with the more minimalist designs of the Prada brand. "Having said that, dusting off and reinventing the brand will require much time and effort," Solca adds.
