Surefire Resources (ASX:SRN) has started a drilling campaign at its Yidby gold project in Western Australia, according to a Friday filing with the Australian bourse.

The campaign includes 5,000 meters of reverse circulation (RC) drilling and 2,000 meters of diamond drilling, the filing said.

The program includes updated estimation and modeling to incorporate recent assay results and assess the project's economic viability, the filing added.

Additional geophysical surveys and soil sampling are planned to refine drill targets, alongside continued engagement with regulators and stakeholders to advance the project, the company said.
