1234 ET - By the end of 2025, most major PC vendors are expected to have completed the shift of U.S.-bound shipments out of China, according to the latest PC shipments report by Canalys. The biggest original equipment manufacturers already began diversifying their supply chain operations during Trump's first term, and are set to continue moving away from China toward Vietnam, Thailand, and India despite these countries also facing the imposition of tariffs. These countries remain relatively competitive compared to China and have shown a willingness to negotiate, raising the possibility that the tariffs may eventually be reduced or waived, analyst Ben Yeh says. As an example, HP CEO Enrique Lores in the company's latest earnings call said that 90% of HP products sold in the U.S. would be made outside of China by the end of this year, Canalys says.(sabela.ojea@wsj.com; @sabelaojeaguix)
