Ivanhoe Electric (IE) said Tuesday that it has received a letter of interest from the Export-Import Bank of the US about potentially providing up to $825 million in debt financing.
The company said the proposed financing includes a 15-year repayment tenor to develop Ivanhoe Electric's Santa Cruz Copper Project in Arizona. The EXIM Bank is the US' official export credit agency.
Ivanhoe said it is assessing EXIM Bank's interest, along with other financing alternatives available.
Shares of Ivanhoe Electric were up about 4% in recent premarket activity.
