Century Pacific Food's Earnings Growth Trajectory Looks Sustainable -- Market Talk

0449 GMT - Century Pacific Food's earnings growth trajectory looks sustainable, Maybank Securities' Daphne Sze says in a research report. The company could generate topline growth of 7% this year, supported by its branded foods business as original equipment manufacturers' exports may slow given rising skipjack tuna prices, the analyst says. The company has also benefited from the Philippines' mid-term election spending and improving consumer sentiment in 1Q. However, the brokerage trims its 2025 and 2026 earnings forecasts for the Philippine company by 7% and 4%, respectively, to reflect rising tuna and milk prices. It lowers the stock's target price of PHP45.00 versus PHP47.00 and keeps a buy rating. Shares are 2.2% lower at PHP36.00. (ronnie.harui@wsj.com)
